Hi, can you not intergrate this in so you can edit all pictures and not just product pics?
Thanks

Hi, we’re working on adding the new image editor into all editable areas of your online shop (promo elements, welcome area etc), as you rightly state it only works on product and category images at present. Getting it to work on all images in your shop is harder to implement so we released it on product and category images initially so as not to hold up the release. The enhancement to have the editor in all areas is under way though, and it will be out in a few weeks max.
For now however there is a work around to use an image that’s been edited with the new editor in these editable elements: Upload an image to a temporary product or category and edit the image with the new editor (you can set the product or category to hidden as you’re only adding it to get the image on the system). Then save the image in your shop once you’ve edited it. You can then use this image elsewhere in your shop, such as any editable element when you add/insert an image through the toolbar (just select the option to use an existing image). Then you can delete the temporary hidden product/category. We must stress this is a temporary work around for people wanting images edited with the new editor to appear in editable elements and places in their shop other than categories and products. You will be able to use the new editor in these elements direct very soon!

Hi, could you correct 2 small problems with a picture editor.
1. Resizing the picture down doesn’t reduce picture size and sometimes increases it as categories picture sizes is predefined in advance.
2. After picture editing in category, picture name looses the original category name and name of the picture becomes gibberish combination of letters and numbers.
Otherwise this is most welcome upgrade.

This is a great feature but would really like to see a feature that allow a series of edits onto my website that I can make, including pictured edits as above, but then not have them made live until all edits are complete. That is a “schedule” option.
At present updates to my eKM shop appears as I edit them, if I want to make a formal announcement of a major new features, it is difficult to schedule it to appear all at the same time.

This is great, going to be so much quicker to edit the picture size so they all align nicely on the category pages.
