The new By Bernardini Scorpion 2000 Compound Bow.
It is true to say that in the early days of compound design each year new and better models were produced. However these days it seems that many of the new changes are cosmetic and a different angle on an old theme, in some markets these annual changes are important to the manufacturer otherwise people will stay with good old trusty and ignore new and shiny.
But when something has been developed and it's already ahead of it's time then why change it just for a fashion statement, afterall the important bit is where the arrow lands and that's what this bow does it puts the arrows where you shoot it.
Whilst By Bernardini have updated the Scorpion 2000 Compound, to make it look fresher the underlying qualities of superior build and reliability that were there at the start are still there today.
This bow is idea for Target or Field and has an incredible range of adjustments.
Specification: Axle to Axle 37", CNC cut from 6082T Aluminium hand polished and anodised, a full 6" of draw length adjustment in half inch increments and 15lb of draw weight adjustment. 70% let off, Flat metal detachable grip (wood optional) Cable splitter, Brace height 7.5" to 8" IBO 294fps and available in 9 annodised colours.
A word from Vittorio Frangelli - By Bernardini
"We are convinced that many of the recent trends in compound bows are just to make "different" things, not "working" things. Some of the best Italian scores have been shot with our comound bows at the beginning of the 90's, and if you look to how old are many compound world records, you will understand what I mean.
So, we have decided to restart our compound bow range from some solid base of concrete technical results achieved in many years. Riser geometry for the Skorpion 2000 is 1" Reflex, and the bow is perfectly balanced on the vertica without any back tilting. So, can be balanced for target with a simple long rod only, also because of the very wide range (6") of draw lenght adjustment suitable for all. The flat metal standard grip allows the bow to jump out from the hand straight to the target like a recurve one, but just in case, you can replace it with any of the 3 wooden grips of the Nilo riser, that can fit any desire in hand placement.
Cams have been decided to be traditional, to make easy to tune for precision and grouping, but stops have been impoved to give a good wall perception.
You will loose some FPS with a traditional design like this, but considering today availability of ultra light arrows, this means nothing in the real world, were you can get easily >310 Fps from any compound bow.
Precision, lateral torsion, vertical stability are in our ideas much more important than few FPS more ".
Currently a special order item allow 7ish days, but we do hope to carry stock soon you can't rush quality.
