Why is my domain name still not working?
A domain name transfer usually takes a couple of days to complete, however it has been known for some transfers to take several weeks.
When a domain name is transferred the company who you are transferring it to (ie: Ekm Systems) are not able to make any changes to it until...
In the case of .uk domains
its IPS tag has been updated
In the case of .com, .net, .org domains
It has been 'unlocked' for transfer and the transfer request has been accepted.
These are for security reasons, as you wouldn't want anyone changing your domain except yourself and/or the registrar who the domain is with.
Unfortunately the old domain name registrar can sometimes take a long time to update the domain and sometimes refuse the transfer request.
