Payment Card Industry (PCI) Compliance is a set of security standards that were created by the major credit card companies (American Express, Discover Financial Services, JCB, MasterCard Worldwide, and Visa International) to protect their customers from increasing identity theft and security breaches.

It applies to any online system or company that Processes, Transmits or Stores credit card data.

ekmPowershop does NOT Process, Transmit or Store any credit card data and thus is out of scope of PCI.

All the payment gateways we integrate with are remotely hosted and/or are through iFrame’s which means the PCI compliancy rests with the Payment Gateway themselves.

However all our servers have passed several PCI data security checks and are regularly scanned by anti-hacker services such as Security Metrics and Comodo.
