Bulk Email
The ekmPowershop contains a facility that allows you to send an order status update email, to your customers. Not only can you send this to individual users when you change the status of the order, but you can send it in bulk - so if you update 20 orders in one go to "dispatched", then you can send an email to say so to each of those 20 customers.
To do this you simply need to navigate to your list of orders in the Settings > Customers & Orders > View Orders area. In there you will see a list of users who have placed orders. You will also notice that next to them they all display a tickbox which, if many a are selected, will allow you send order status update emails to them in one go. You do this by clicking the "Update Status" button at the bottom of the orders page, which then asks what status you wish to change those orders to. Once the status is selected, you will be asked if you wish to send an email or not.
You can also send an email to the user directly, by entering the Customers & Orders > View Customers area and clicking the customers name. In the next page, you will see a Communication tab that allows you to send an email to that user. Please note it will only be sent to the email address the user specified when placing their order.
