Bulk Price Changer
The ekmPowershop incorporates a bulk price changer function which is a part of the main "Stock Control" facility found in the Settings > Stock Control area of your account. This is useful if you quickly need to change many of the prices in your shop without navigating to each item and updating their prices manually on an item-by-item basis.
To use the bulk price changing facility, simply navigate to the stock control area as above and within the Stock Control Setup tab, you will see the "Bulk Price Change System" as a bullet-point option, near the bottom of the page. Selecting "Active" and then clicking "Update" will open up a 3rd tab across the top of the green window area. This will be called Bulk Price Change.
Within the "Bulk Price Change" area, you will be able to use the category path drop down menu function to navigate to the category you wish to change the products of. Alternatively, you can simply select "Show all products" from the drop down box meaning all items will be available for an alteration. You can also tick/untick the items which are requiring a change should you need to fine-tune your selection further.
Once you have selected the items that require the price change, you can enter the sum of what the change is regarding. First, you select "increase" or "decrease" from the sum drop down menu and then simply enter the value of the sum in the box next to this. You can also select if this value is a percentage or a numerical change.
You may find that some of your items are using the category management facility, in that they are listed in more than one category. Although all the references to the same product will be included in the price change, you can opt whether you wish to have these items visible in the list of products when deciding which items require a price change. You do this by simply setting the bullet-point on the Stock Control Setup page to active, against the Bulk Price Change System - Category Management products parameter.
