Can I list products in multiple categories?
It is possible to list an item in more than one category or sub-category. All you must do is navigate to a product and simply click "edit" to enter the item settings.
Once you are within this area, click "advanced options" in the green area lower down the page:
This will expand, making available some further options. Clicking on "category management" will open a pop-up window with the relevant settings:
In here you can change the master category that the item appears in, or add the item to as many other additional categories that you like. The "master category" is changed by clicking the "home" element of the category path of the item; and then using the dropdown category menu to navigate to the category you wish to move the item to.
The lower area of the page allows you to specify what other categories the item appears in. Using the lower dropdown box will allow you to navigate to the additional category path before clicking the "add" button to assign the additional category.
The stock levels of each duplicate item will update accordingly as the item is ordered, so you do not need to worry about one version running out of stock while another does not.
