Import/Export Shop Data (New Version)
The Import/Export system is an advanced ekmPowershop feature. It allows you to easily Export large amounts of data out of your shop such as products and orders. The Import allows you to edit all aspects of your products and categories by uploading a formatted Import file.
To access the Import/Export system please log into your ekmPowershop account and navigate to the "Settings" page. From within the "Advanced Settings" section please select "Import/Export Shop Data".
Export To File
If you choose to export data from your shop you will then be prompted to choose the type of information you'd like to Export.
Export Products
Use this option to download a list of products from within your online shop. This can be used for reference or to use as your template for using the Import system to add, edit or delete products.
Export Categories
Use this option to download a list of categories from within your online shop. This can be used for reference or to use as your template for using the Import system to add, edit or delete categories. It is also useful for getting category paths when you're adding or editing products.
Export Uploaded Image List
This will give you a list of all the images you've uploaded using the file manager. This is useful when Importing products and categories so you can easily reference your uploaded images.
Export Customer Details
This allows you to download a list of your customers and their details for your reference.
Export Orders
This allows you to download a list of your orders. It can also be correlated against your list of customer details.
Reuse Previous Export Settings
When using the Export feature you can select options such as which fields (eg. First Name) you'd like to be included in your Export. You will then be given the option to save those settings. This option then will allow you to rerun the Export using these saved settings.
Export Options
Once you've selected the data you'd like to export you'll be given some options that are specific to the export. These include being able to select which category to export products from and date ranges for exporting orders.
You will also be able to choose which fields (eg. Name, Price, Stock) you'd like to include in your Export file.
Download Options
This is the final screen you'll see before your download begins. It allows you to select whether you'd like to download a standard CSV file or an XLS file. You can also download a zipped version of the file to make your download quicker.
If you'd like to save the Export settings you've used please make sure you enter a name and click the save button before you proceed with your Export.
When you click which file type you'd like to download your file will be generated and when it's ready you'll be given a download link.
