Import/Export Shop Data
The Import/Export system is an advanced ekmPowershop feature. It allows you to easily Export large amounts of data out of your shop such as products and orders. The Import allows you to edit all aspects of your products and categories by uploading a formatted Import file.
To access the Import/Export system please log into your ekmPowershop account and navigate to features section. Look down the list until you see the import / export feature click onto it and install the feature to your online shop.
Import File Format
Your Import file must be a CSV (Comma Seperated Values) or XLS (Microsoft Excel) file. You may ZIP the file before you upload it to speed up the process.
There are ten Actions available within the Import system. You can perform any mixture of these actions within the same Import file if you require. eg. You could add a category, add a product and edit a product within the same Import file.
Add Product
This allows you to add a new product and set all the products values.

This allows you to setup product options against a specified product. Any existing options will be deleted and then new ones created.

This allows you to setup product variants against a specified product. Any existing variants will be deleted and then new ones created.

Delete Product
This allows you to delete a product. Everything associated with the product such as variants will also be deleted.

This allows you to delete a category. You can only delete categories that don't contain sub categories. Deleting a category will also delete all the products from within that category.

You can combine any of the Actions together into one Import file.

Cut Down Import
As long as you include the Required fields the Import will work correctly. This is handy for scenarios such as just updating stock levels.

Full category path. If any part of the path doesn't exist it will be automatically created. eg. Home > My Category

ID of category or product. This is required for editing or deleting categories and products.

Description
Description of category or product.

Short description of product.

Category description displayed within category.

Price of product. eg. 19.99

RRP of product. eg. 29.99
