Related Products

The ekmPowershop will allow you to set related products when configuring your product content. When editing or adding a new product, you will see a "Related Products" option within the lower green area of the editing section:

Clicking this will open up the following popup window:

The upper half is the section that displays any related products that have been assigned to the item you are editing while the lower half allows you to navigate the categories within your shop and displays the products in the location you have navigated to.

Simply use the dropdown menu in the lower half to navigate to the item you wish to set as a related product and click the "add" button:

You will then see that item move to the upper half, meaning this is now a related item of the one you are editing:

You can simply use the "remove" button to remove any related items from that product:

Once you are finished setting your related items, click "Done" and then click "Update" once being returned to the initial product you were editing.

When you now view the item, you will see the related products that you have added:

Each ekmPowershop template will display related items on the product pages using a layout which is pre-set for that template. If you wish to change the style of the way the related items are d isplayed on the product page, then you would use the custom HTML facility for the product page itself. This is done within the "design & layout" -> "edit product page " - > "plain text editor" section. You would then use the "related product" tag with its alternative output parameter to determine the layout. More information on using custom HTML can be found here:
